The interior of the Cathedral of Granada is of Renaissance style, over a settlement on gothic plant. The Capilla Mayor is one of the most beautiful and bold works of the universal architecture. In this Capilla Mayor are the two statues of Catholic Kings. Their walls are high and are decorated with very beautiful show windows, some brought of Flanders.
The work was conceived in the 1523 by Enrique Egas being based on the model of the Cathedral of Toledo. But finally was Diego de Siloé who, in 1529, went in charge of the works, that concluded in 1537. The author draws up the Renaissance lines of all the building on the gothic foundations, with girola and five ships instead of the three habitual ones.
